Serina Erfjord & Tone Wolff Kalstad
The Greynesses I Vigeland-museets sal 5 viser Serina Erfjord og Tone Wolff Kalstad samarbeidsprosjektet The Greynesses. The Greynesses
Serina Erfjord and Tone Wolff Kalstad’s collaboration The Greynesses is on display in room 5 of the Vigeland Museum, where a group of variously sized sculptures in unburnt clay have been placed on a large base in the centre of the room. The sculptures appear to be improvised and randomly shaped, but are also reminiscent of small mountains in a sort of lunar landscape. After having been exposed to a lengthy process of erosion, the sculptures have begun to disintegrate. The Greynesses creates the illusion of a geological process, all the while showing the poetical side of the fragile and transient. The organic forms contrast noticeably with Vigeland’s monumental works in the same room: Vigeland represents here the completed and perfected, unlike the impermanence and dissolution of Erfjord and Wolff’s sculptures. |
